CINCINNATI -- In the New Year, 9 On Your Side will be getting a new look.

“We are getting a new set which should debut in January,” said Jeff Brogan, Vice President & General Manager of WCPO - 9 On Your Side.

The station’s current set is more than 10 years old and construction of a new set will take place in three phases.

The first includes dismantling Studio B, which began in October. The second is Studio A, where most of 9 On Your Side’s broadcasts are aired. The third phase will be the construction of the new studio.

“We’re really excited about the new set because it will let us tell stories in a new way by incorporating new technology," Brogan said.

The old set will see a new life too, as most of its pieces will be donated to regional universities for their broadcast programs.

Viewers can track the progress of the studio construction here with time-lapse videos, like this one showing phase 1 of the project.
