CINCINNATI -- Two teenagers accused in separate Avondale homicides were scheduled to go before a judge Tuesday morning.

Police said a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old face charges in connection with the deaths of William Moritz, 45, and Deshawn Hutchinson, 35.

Their appearances were later rescheduled for Feb. 28. Court officials said the teens' next appearance will be a competency hearing.

A third suspect, 18-year-old Antonio Ruff, was also arrested earlier in the case.

Moritz died on Jan. 20 after being shot on Irving Street. Police said Moritz and one other victim were shot while sitting in their vehicle.

Officers said the second victim was treated and released from University of Cincinnati Medical Center but Moritz died.

Hutchinson was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Jan. 27 in the 3600 block of Irving Street. He was pronounced dead on arrival at UCMC.

Both of the shootings happened in the same block of Irving Street.

Officials said the Homicide Unit connected the shootings and identified the teens as suspects in both cases.

No other details have been released.
