CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The dismembered body of a Covington, Ky., woman was found in a car following an apparent murder-suicide, police said.
Mara Garcia, 36, was found on Oct. 8 after Charlotte-Mecklenburg officers were called to investigate a strong smell coming from the vehicle, according to WSOC-TV.
The body was identified Monday.
Police said they found Lenin Noel Turcios Corea, 29, dead from an apparent suicide. Authorities identified Corea as a suspect in the Garcia’s murder.
Garcia and Corea were in a relationship and lived together, detectives said.
