Cincinnati's homicide rate highest in region

Seventy-five people were slain in Cincinnati in 2013 - a 42 percent jump from 2012, giving it the distinction of having the highest rate of homicide when compared to similar sized cities in the region. Cincinnati Police Jeffrey Blackwell said his plans to stretch police staffing and to work with teens are aimed at combating violence.
