CINCINNATI -- A gunman is at large after a series of robberies near the University of Cincinnati late Tuesday night.
Police said a man with a mask and a gun robbed three people near the area of 3253 Jefferson Ave.
The robberies all happened within minutes of each other and were first reported at about 11 p.m.
The first happened in the 3200 block of Vine Street. The second happened near Brookline and Jefferson avenues.
Officers said the robber was able to get away with the victims’ cellphones and credit cards.
Police were able to track one of the cellphones for a brief period before it was turned off. Unfortunately, the phone was turned off before the robber could be found.
The robber was described as a heavy-set black male, about 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
No other details were released.
