East Price Hill homicide case back in court

CINCINNATI – A Hamilton County judge is set to hear arguments in an East Price Hill homicide case.

Daniel Davis, 49, is accused of brutally attacking 79-year-old John Lauck in August 2012.

Davis is charged with aggravated murder, burglary, robbery and other charges.

Investigators said Lauck was found beaten, stabbed and stomped. Prosecutors have accused Davis of attacking Lauck to get money to support a heroin addiction.

Judge Nadine Allen will preside over the case starting at 10 a.m. The case is expected to go to trial in August.

Red Bank Road shooting suspect due in court

CINCINNATI – One of the four men accused in a Red Bank Road homicide will go before a judge Thursday.

Kenny Gunn is charged with burglary, assault and kidnapping. He is set to either take a plea or have a trial date scheduled.

Prosecutors said Gunn is one of four men who attacked Rodney Smith on July 6, 2013.

Man accused in woman’s death due before judge

CINCINNATI -- A man accused of killing a local woman more than a decade ago is scheduled to appear in a Hamilton County courtroom Thursday to either enter a plea or set a date for trial.

Jessie Collins, 40, is charged in connection to the death of Nakia Mapp.

Mapp was killed on Jan. 12, 2003, according to court documents. Collins is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and felonious assault.

He is expected to appear in court at 9 a.m.

Golf Manor homicide suspect due in court

CINCINNATI – He’s accused of stabbing a man to death and watching him die.

Now Gary Gross is due before a Hamilton County judge.

He’s accused of killing 21-year-old Joshua Glenn during a fight on Nov. 1, 2013.

Gross will be in court at 9 a.m. for a plea or trial hearing.

Man to be sentenced in rape case

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A Hamilton County man will be sentenced Thursday in a Sycamore Township rape case.

Prosecutors said Jeremy Morgan has admitted to raping a 14-year-old girl.

He will be sentenced at 10 a.m.

‘Repeat offender’ to be sentenced for dogfighting

CINCINNATI -- A man who prosecutors described as a “repeat offender” will be in court Thursday to answer to dog fighting charges.

Roger Brown, 44, is due in Hamilton County Court at 9 a.m. sentenced on charges including dog fighting, and other charges.

Prosecutors said Brown has a prior conviction for dog fighting.
