CINCINNATI – Authorities arrested a man in connection with last month’s double homicide in Avondale Monday in North Carolina.
Brandon Thomas, 29, was arrested in Granville County, N.C., during a traffic stop, police said Tuesday morning. Thomas is accused in the slayings of Adam Bostic and Betty Thomas.
Police have released no motive for their deaths.
The two were found bound in their Knott Street home in Avondale on January 9, police investigators confirmed. Police issued an aggravated murder arrest warrant for Thomas soon thereafter. Two pre-school-aged girls were found in the home unharmed, police said.
Authorities believed the two victims knew Thomas and that there was some "nexus of drug activity" involved in the incident, Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell said following the incident.
A federal parole violation warrant out of Lexington, Ky., has been previously issued for Thomas.
