CINCINNATI - All of the selfies. All of the Kmart controversy. Yes, it was a busy week in the digital world. We're rounding up the big talkers this week; check them out!

Selfies, selfies everywhere. English-language purists, rejoice (or maybe not): “Selfie” was named the word of the year by Oxford Dictionaries this week!

In honor of this historic moment, we asked our viewers and fans to share THEIR selfies; then we held the first-ever WCPO “selfie” awards. Check out the top 9 selfies we received!

#ShowYourJoe. They brought you Big Gas Savings and Ship Your Pants. Now, Kmart has rolled out its newest controversial holiday commercial, Show Your Joe. Simply put: Kmart is on fire right now, at least in the social media universe.

Putting a pin in it. Pinterest is great for recipes, DIY project ideas, hair and makeup techniques, and gorgeous photos. Now, the social platform aims to become a staple in your travel planning and adventure-seeking.

On Wednesday, the site rolled out Place Pins, which enables users to map the location of items they share on Pinterest. Mashable.com tells you all about it!

Snap it, ladies. Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel announced Wednesday that 70 percent of the app's users are female. Why so camera shy, gentlemen? This news comes on the heels of last week’s rumors about Snapchat refusing to sell to Facebook for $3 billion in cash.

The story went viral on Thursday, Nov. 21; naturally, it struck a chord with the social media community, which was exposed to the harsh reality of social and real life meeting in a very tragic way.

And one more thing. WCPO made news when parent company Scripps made this announcement on Nov. 21:
