CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati's Horseshoe Casino was fined Wednesday $75,000 for violating Ohio law and its own internal controls regarding how credit is issued to patrons.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC) accepted a settlement agreement with the casino Wednesday.

The casino's violations were found during a routine process audit, and was also found to have failed to maintain complete patron credit files.

Along with the monetary fine, the OCCC also requires additional training for casino personnel related to granting credit to casino patrons.

No further details about the sanction were immediately available from the OCCC.

This is Horseshoe's first sanction in Cincinnati, but the casino group has been previously fined at Horseshoe Casino Cleveland and Toledo.
