A wedding down on the farm
Just married: Bryant and Allison Layman
When: September 14, 2013
Where: Family’s Farm in Georgetown, Oh.
Reception: American Legion in Georgetown, Oh.
Maid/Matron of Honor: Amber Schauer
Best Man: Billy Neal
Allison Radcliffe, daughter of Bill Radcliffe of Cincinnati and Kimberly Schauer of Daytona Beach, was married on Saturday, Sept. 14 to Bryant Layman, son of Phillip Layman and Melissa Davidson of Indiana.
The couple met in the summer of 2009 while attending Morehead State University.
Mrs. Layman, 22, is a customer service representative for an insurance firm. Her father is self-employed and her mother is an environmental director.
Mr. Layman, 23, is an insurance agent. His father is a concrete worker and his mother is a registered nurse.
Guests relaxed in the rustic atmosphere of pine trees and aromatic gardens at the wedding, and were seated on a mixture of chairs and large bales of hay. The ambiance of love and family was in effect, and music filled the air as the bride walked down the aisle to a live rendition of Train’s, “Marry Me." Although the ceremony was simple, the pair says that between the perfect weather and the gathering of everyone they love, they could not have asked for more.
At the reception, guests kicked off their shoes and celebrated with a true down home theme. The fun kicked off with a little country music and line dancing, and guests wet their lips on some real home cooking, including fried chicken.
The couple and their 18-month-old son Bryson live in Indiana and are planning to buy a house there within the next year. They say that what makes their love so unique is that their life is a constant adventure. The pair says that they never do the same thing twice, live to be together with their son, and know that no matter what, their love is true, faithful, and exists without judgment.
A Facebook reconnection
Newly engaged: Freddy “Tony” Couch and Tonya Belt
Wedding date: February 28, 2015
Wedding/Reception: Cincinnati (venue to be decided)
Tonya Belt, daughter of Copalee and the late Henry Belt of Cincinnati, is engaged to Freddy “Tony” Couch, son of Fred and the late Juanita Couch of West Chester. Ms. Belt, 38, is currently unemployed and Mr. Couch, 39, works at Atria Senior Living Group.
The couple initially met in 1993 while in high school but lost touch soon after. They reconnected through Facebook and began officially dating in December 2012. The two say that since their first official date, they have not spent a single day apart.
Within months, separate circumstances led to each of them knowing this was the real thing. Mr. Couch knew he’d found the one when Ms. Belt dropped all of her plans to care for him one night when he was very ill. Ms. Belt says she knew she’d found "the one" when she confided in Mr. Couch that she was a transplant patient and a below the knee amputee. Tt made no difference to him; he loved her just the same.
On Halloween of this year, Mr. Couch finally popped the question. He decided not to go with a flashy proposal, and instead waited until they arrived at Ms. Belt’s mother’s house. He simply took his sweetheart aside and asked her to marry him.
The pair will reside in Cincinnati after they marry. They say what makes their love so special is a shared sense of kindness and honesty, as well as their ability to not sweat the small things and enjoy every day of their lives.
