Fashion Friday: Spring into spring with 9 Tri-State boutiques to discover or rediscover in 2014

CINCINNATI - As the thoughts of fashionistas turn to spring, big things are happening on the local boutique scene--from helping the community to online shopping.

Here are nine local boutiques to watch this season and throughout 2014:

1. Harlow & Liv

Owners Krista and Jennifer Baker are the "visionistas" who created this brand founded in September 2013. The two entrepreneurs are finding ways to incorporate fashion into giving back to the community. Their first runway show in January was huge success, with over 600 attendees.

Partnering with other local businesses, they not only sell fashions online but hold fundraisers for causes that empower women.

2. Lou Lou's

Owned by Nancy Rembold, Lou Lou's on the west side of Cincinnati will soon be offering selections of jewelry and accessories online.

LouLou’s has been a dream of Rembold's since High School. Her mom is the namesake. Rembold said the original LouLou was a stylish mother of seven, who made looking great seem easy.

"We want to make it easy for you to not only look great, but feel great in the clothes you are wearing," Rembold said.

This eclectic boutique located in Northside is in its seventh year of business and still going strong.

"We're not only a boutique but also bring awareness to the arts here in Cincinnati," said owner Emily Buddendeck. " We have a new art exhibit every 45 days, highlighting artists who focus on everything from sculpture, photography, textiles, drawings to fashion."

You can check out Nvision's unique finds online and get a sneak peek of current exhibits.
