1. TEdX Cincy Sound ideas

In the spirit of curiosity and ideas worth spreading, TEDxCincinnati invites you to experience a local TED (technology, entertainment and design) conference at Memorial Hall. 

This year’s program, titled “Sound Ideas,” will feature an energizing mix of live talks and performances, streamed videos, audience participation and lively conversations with interesting people from different backgrounds.

2. Cincy Punk Fest

Punk’s not dead!

Now in it’s 12th year, Cincinnati’s annual celebration of everything punk will take over the Southgate Revival House.

The festival starts Friday at 8 p.m. and almost three-dozen bands will vie for your ear holes.

Punk Fest will feature several local favorites as well as new and regional acts.

3. Constella Festival of Music and Fine Art

4. Weekend of Fire

5. Cincinnati Bengals host New England Patriots

After a disappointing showing against the Cleveland Browns, the Bengals have to come up big against a New England team that is still undefeated.

6. Seven Spots on the Sun

The Cincinnati Playhouse has a lot to be proud of, but its accolades just got a bit longer.

The storied theater is premiering it’s 68th new work this week.

“Seven Spots on the Sun” tells the story of mourning and loss in a Latin American village recovering from a brutal civil war.

7. Cincinnati Design Week

8. Donauschwaben Oktoberfest

If you thought Cincinnati had just about run out of Oktoberfest fun, well, you’d be wrong.

The family fun continues this weekend with the Donauschwaben Oktoberfest celebration.

9. ArchiNATI

Cincinnati’s premier architectural event is entering its third year and this time the focus is on public spaces.

“Citizen Space,” will highlight the city’s publicly owned buildings and land.

The fest kicks off with the Place from Space exhibition and event Friday night, showcasing the submissions for a design competition aimed at turning vacant spaces in Over-the-Rhine, Walnut Hills and Price Hill into community places.

The exhibition will feature voting, refreshments and music in addition to a bike tour and other events.
