Get ready for “Dancing with the Stars” to milk the tears out of you – and then shock you with another one of its notorious surprises.
Not only will stars perform a dance representing their “most memorable year,” but “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts will guest judge. And, having battled cancer, she certainly has a powerful story.
This is also the last week that the stars will be paired up with their current pro partners. The show wants you, the viewer, to decide who they should swap with. Fans have been tweeting #dwts with a star name and a pro name. Results of these new, unholy mixtures will be unleashed Monday – bwahahaha!
Three couples will perform the jive, including Nickelodeon star James Maslow and Peta; ice dancer Charlie White and Sharna; and actress Candace Cameron and Mark.
The demanding jive doesn’t typically lend itself to emotional stories. While Candace seems excited about the dance, Charlie is begging for support.
We should get some interesting routines from Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy and Derek, as well as actress Danica McKellar and Val, who are rehearsing contemporary dances.
While Amy seems completely at ease, Danica sounds sore.
Comedian Drew Carey and Cheryl are working on a waltz, as are actor Billy Dee Williams and Emma.
Ice dancer Meryl Davis and Maks are working on a Foxtrot, which, like everything for her, should be a breeze.
Singer Cody Simpson and Witney are working on a jazz, while reality star NeNe Leaks and Tony are rehearsing a rumba.
As for predictions, it’s quite likely NeNe will get eliminated this week. If not her, then probably Billy Dee, who has gotten the lowest scores. Neither are racking up high scores, and she has a decent fan bases, but Billy Dee gets the sympathy vote. Last week, hockey bad boy Sean Avery and Karina were eliminated.
The competition continues Monday night at 8:00 on ABC.
