CINCINNATI - Four times each season, musicians from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra pare down for programs as the Chamber Players.
In this video, orchestra principals Ilya Finkelsteyn, who plays cello, and Owen Lee, who plays bass, rehearse and discuss a pair of pieces written for bass and cello by long-gone 20th century composers Alfred Schnittke and Mikhail Bukinik.
Lee and Finkelshteyn are performing on a Jan. 17 Chamber Players program also featuring pieces from Tchaikovsky and Nielsen.
