CINCINNATI - Mike Bartlett is a British playwright who wrote the dark comedy “Bull” about life in a British sales office. Know Theatre is performing the work as intended, with British accents.
We wanted to see what happens to the humor and characters when you strip away the accents and Americanize the performed text.
Here is the same scene with and without British inflection and you be the judge.
Performances of "Bull" continue—with British accents—at 8 p.m. every Thursday through Saturday at Know Theatre, with a 3 p.m. matinee Nov. 17. For information, visit Know Theatre's web site or call (513) 300-5669.
