CINCINNATI - Tim Perrino launched Cincinnati Landmark Productions life three decades ago as a summer youth theater program.
In 1990, Landmark began producing shows on the Showboat Majestic. In 2002, it moved into the 400-seat Covedale Center for the the Performing Arts, and has since seen tremendous growth: 35,000 tickets sold each year, 3,700 season subscriptions and earned income accounting for more than 80 percent of its annual budget.
This holiday season, Landmark is reviving its original musical version of "A Christmas Carol."
In this video, featuring some of the show's music, Perrino talks about planting the theater's stakes in the neighborhood of his roots.
While Landmark will no longer produce shows on the Majestic, it's expanding in 2015 to the 225-seat Incline Theater, on Matson Street on the edge of East Price Hill.
