CINCINNATI -- If summertime is making you nostalgic for camp and you love craft beer, Sierra Nevada has an event just for you.
The Chico, Calif.-based brewer is bringing its Beer Camp Across America tour to the Queen City in two different events.
The first will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Moerlein Lager House .
The event will feature 12 different breweries including four from the West, four from the East and four from the Midwest. The tasting includes three flights and a small buffet.
This event is limited to 115 participants and you have to make reservations by calling (513) 421-2337.
The breweries included in the tastings are: Sierra Nevada; Ninkasi, Russian River, Firestone & Walker and Ballast Point, Oscar Blues, New Glarus, Bells, & Three Floyds, Allagash, Victory, Asheville Brewer’s Alliance and Cigar City.
The fun picks up again on July 21 at Ei8ht Ball Brewing in Bellevue, Ky.
Organizers there said the entire beer series will be tapped at two different times in the taproom.
The 11 a.m. tapping will include Ninkaski’s Double Latte Milk Stout, Allagash’s Myrons Walk Belgian Style Pale Ale, Oskar Blues’ Canfusion Rye Bock, Ballast Point’s Electric Ray India Pale Lager, Bell’s Mallard’s Odyssey Imperial Dark Ale and New Glarus’ Three and Rack Extra Special Bitter.
The next series will start at 5 p.m. with the following lineup:
