CINCINNATI -- The baseball season is just starting but Great American Ball Park is already getting cheers from craft beer fans nationwide.
The ballpark was recently named to two Top 10 lists of the best baseball stadiums for craft beer.
TheDailyMeal.com ranked Great American at No. 3 on its list.
The website lauded GABP for its wide selection of beers and its location.
Paste Magazine ranked GABP at No. 10 on its list. The Reds new Brewery District Bar impressed the magazine.
The 85-foot-long new addition has 60 taps and will feature a dozen local brews in addition to some national and regional brands. The bar is located between sections 117 and 118 on the third base concourse.
Lockland-based Rivertown Brewing got a shout-out from the magazine, too. The magazine listed Rivertown’s Lil’s SIPA – a session India Pale Ale – as one of the beers to try at the stadium.
Rivertown’s chief executive officer and brewer Jason Roeper said the brewery’s Hop Bomber, Lil’ SIPA and Helles Lager will be on tap at the stadium. Cans of the Lil’ SIPA are also available at the UDF stores inside the park.
Local beer blogger Queen City Fresh has a list of all the beers on tap at GABP, including some local favorites.
