Timeline: HIGH RISK for severe weather and a TORNADO WATCH throughout the Tri-State

TORNADO WATCH was in effect for all Tri-State counties until 8 p.m.

A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to our viewing area. People should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a 'Particularly Dangerous Situation ' (PDS) for areas in the Tri-State. Severe winds are expected, with gusts between 60 and 80 mph.

HIGH RISK for severe weather:

Parts of the Tri-State including southeast Indiana, Cincinnati, NKY and Butler & Warren counties

MODERATE RISK:

The rest of the Tri-State

MAIN THREATS:

Damaging, straight-line winds over 60mph

Tornadoes in western counties, and isolated in the rest of the Tri-State.

Hail larger than quarter-sized possible

Heavy rain, where 1” – 2” of rainfall is likely by Monday morning.  Minor flooding possible.

STORM TIMELINE:

4 p.m. through 10 p.m.:  Widespread severe storms with damaging winds & tornadoes

By Midnight: Skies clearing and cooler temperatures. Wind Advisory canceled, but still breezy
