CINCINNATI -- Scattered power outages were reported across the Tri-State after a severe storm blew through the area Wednesday night with hundreds of homes still without power Thursday morning.
In Independence, Kentucky, about 1,800 Duke Energy customers were without power as of 8:20 p.m., the company reported. Other smaller pockets of outages were spread across the area.

By 7 a.m. Thursday, only 912 outages were reported in the Tri-State.
