Record-breaking cold set to hit the Tri-State

An arctic blast is heading our way… the coldest weather of the season so far. This polar plunge will cause temperatures to drop below zero on Monday and with strong winds expected, wind chill values will range from 30 to 40 degrees below zero!
Because of the extreme cold, a Wind Chill Warning has been issued for much of the Tri-State from 4 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Record-breaking low temperatures are expected on Monday and Tuesday morning:
Monday’s morning low: -7
Monday’s record: -7 in 1924
Tuesday’s morning low: -10
Tuesday’s record: -9 in 1912
***Be sure to bring any pets indoors during these low temperatures.
