CINCINNATI - Something foamy is floating in the Mill Creek and you've been asking what it is.
A suspicious foamy substance became noticeable early Monday morning, after soaking rain fell on the Tri-State on Mother's Day.
The sudsy substance has had many people concerned and asking questions about possible environmental hazards.
The Metro Sewer District tells us the detergent-like substance was a result of discharge from one or several industrial facilities up creek and is not harmful to the environment.
Those facilities all have permits to release eco-friendly cleaning agents. Sunday's Heavy rain may have created an overflow which led to the "soapy" conditions in the creek.
