2 injured in accident on I-75 North near Florence

FLORENCE, Ky. - Police say two injured in a single car accident on northbound I-75 near Florence, Ky., Thursday night.

A vehicle was traveling northbound on I-75 around 9 p.m. when the driver struck the median near Mt. Zion Road (exit 178), according to officials.

Air Care was called to the scene and transported 23-year-old Christopher Jones from Hamilton to University Hospital. That's where Florence police say he was treated for head and chest injuries.

Police also report that a passenger in the car, Judy Noble, was taken to St. Elizabeth Florence for minor injuries. A third person in the car wasn't injured.

The two left lanes and left shoulder were temporarily shut down Thursday night.
