Position: Morning Traffic Anchor
When did you start working here?
Where else have you worked?
Before working at 9 On Your Side I was the morning and afternoon Traffic Reporter at WLOS News 13 in Asheville, North Carolina. In college I interned with WESH 2 News (during the George Zimmerman trial), and the Golf Channel in Orlando, Florida.
Where did you go to college?
The University of Florida- Go Gators! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Telecommunications News.
What are you most proud of when it comes to your work?
Being a broadcaster allows a number of opportunities to interact with our community on so many levels. As a member of our morning team, I am a resource for viewers as they head to work each morning. It is very rewarding to be an important source of information, especially in dangerous driving conditions.
What are you most proud of in your own life?
My incredible family- I greatly admire my two amazing parents, who have always sacrificed so much for their kids. My older brother is one of my biggest role models. He works for NBC Sports, and most recently covered the 2016 Rio Olympics. My younger brother is a state-placer in Florida for wrestling, and well on his way to compete at the collegiate level. I am so proud of everything they have accomplished.
What do you love about living in the Tri-State?
The Cincinnati area really is the best of both worlds. It is such a big city with plenty to do, but has a small town feel at the same time. Plus, I am a big sports fan, so I really love having two professional teams in the area.
What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions?
I am still exploring, but Hyde Park and Over The Rhine are a few of my favorite spots thus far. I am a huge foodie, and both areas have so much to offer.
All time favorites (movies, music, books, shows, etc…)?
My all-time favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz- it’s a classic! As far as books go, I love anything Hemingway. You can catch me watching any show written by Shonda Rhimes.
My taste in music varies- I love anything from Mumford and Sons to Beyoncé.
Apps you can't live without?
Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Gmail App, Maps (even the traffic gal gets lost) and did I mention Instagram?
