When did you start working here?
June 8th, 2015

Where else have you worked?
Air Force News(Reporter/Anchor/Radio), KPNX(Photojournalist), WOWK(Reporter/Anchor), KFMB(Reporter/Evening Weekend Anchor), WISN(Reporter/Evening Weekday Anchor)

Where did you go to college?
This is an interesting question as my track is laid out much differently than most. I attended the Defense Information School at Fort Meade, Maryland; it’s the broadcast journalism school for the military.  Prior to cross-training into the world of journalism, I was in law enforcement in the Air Force.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work?
Being able to tell stories that impact viewer’s lives. I’m proud to play a role in covering history in the making, sometimes impacting the route of the future. Having an impact in the community where my family and I live, work and play puts a humbling smile on my face.

What are you most proud of in your own life?
My wife….She completes me and makes me a better husband and father every day.  Without her, I wouldn’t have had the great career I’ve had to this point.

What do you love about living in the Tri-State?
There is so much to do here.  I’m a Midwesterner, living out my childhood in Joplin, Missouri. With that said, I love the area because you get that Midwest lifestyle with a big city and all it has to offer.  From King’s Island to the Newport Aquarium, golf courses, state parks and museums….you get it all bundled together in one great Tri-State area.

What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions?
This is an area I hope to expand on and I’m looking forward to your suggestions!  Look me up on Facebook and Twitter and send me your: @McKeeWCPO

All time favorites (movies, music, books, shows, etc…)?
Favorite movie comedy is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.  Whenever it’s on, I watch.  I don’t watch a lot of television, but when I do the shows range from DIY to documentary style programming which I usually watch with my son. I do watch a couple comedies with my wife that she DVRs and saves for the weekend for us to enjoy.
