SHARONVILLE, Ohio – Princeton basketball standout Darius Bazley is ranked the nation’s No. 9 player in the 2018 class by ESPN.com. That ranking is the highest among the major men’s basketball recruiting sites.

Bazley, a 6-foot-9 wing, is ranked No. 12 nationally in the latest Scout.com player rankings. He was previously No. 30 nationally by Scout.

Considered Ohio’s top player in the 2018 class, Bazley is ranked No. 26 nationally and a five-star recruit by Rivals.com. He is rated the No. 29 player nationally by 247Sports.

Bazley, a Syracuse verbal commit, has been invited to the ninth annual USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team minicamp Oct. 7-8 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

Bazley will likely be one of 50 high school athletes nationally at the camp. USA Basketball expects to announce the invitees in early September.

Princeton is scheduled to begin the 2017-18 season against Xenia Friday, Dec. 1 in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic (9 p.m. tipoff) at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro.
