Kaitlyn Bergman's 3-run home run lifts Lebanon past Northmont

CLAYTON, Ohio - A three-run first-inning home run by senior Kaitlyn Bergman helped the Lebanon softball team to a 6-1 road victory over Northmont on Thursday.

The Warriors (18-2) added three runs in the sixth inning to pad their lead thanks in part to a two-run single by Sam Showalter. Showalter finished the game 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Savannah Scott drove in the other run for Lebanon.

“There's no better time than now for a win,” Lebanon manager Brian Kindell told his team.

Northmont scored its lone run in the second inning.
