Ryle ran its season-opening winning streak to nine matches as the Raiders (9-0) defeated Dixie Heights (2-8), 25-7, 25-8, 25-13 on Tuesday.
Junior right side hitter Erika Keohane tallied four kills and served for seven aces, and sophomore libero Case Barber notched eight digs and seven aces.
CAMELS TOP HARRISON – Junior outside hitter Emily Rich finished with 16 kills and seven blocks as Campbell County (4-6) defeated Harrison County (8-3), 25-20, 25-10, 25-12.
WALTON DOWNS HOLMES – Sophomore setter Haile Ison rolled up eight aces and a pair of kills as Walton-Verona (9-1) defeated Holmes (1-6), 25-17, 25-11.
Junior middle hitter Jessica Emmons racked up three kills, and freshman setter Abby Knight served for three aces in the Bearcats’ win.
NEWCATH BEATS HOLY CROSS – Senior sett Alyssa Maier rolled up 13 assists and five aces as Newport Central Catholic (3-3) defeated Holy Cross (2-2), 25-12, 25-21, 25-12.
Freshman outside hitter Rachel McDonald added five kills and nine digs for the Thoroughbreds.
Senior midfielder Georgia Childress led the Indians with 11 kills.

Sophomore Sheldon Preisler won his eighth straight match to open the season as Boone County edged Lloyd, 3-2 on Wednesday.
Sophomore Erin Mogus remained perfect through five matches with her win at third singles as Cooper shut out Covington Latin.
