Sophomore Andres Rivera scored three goals and assisted on another as Dixie Heights downed Ashland Blazer, 4-2, Saturday at home.

Tied at two at the break, the Colonels went ahead on a Zachary Kilmer goal 10 minutes into the second half on a Rivera assist.

Rivera scored his third goal of the night and sixth of the season with three minutes left in play to seal the win.

HALFTIME: 2-2. GOALS: DH—Rivera 3, Kilmer. B—Day, Malloy. RECORDS: Dixie Heights 5-6-2, Blazer 7-5.

SIMON KENTON 7, WALTON-VERONA 0 — Senior Tyler Smith scored two goals and assisted on three others as the Pioneers ran past the Bearcats.

Corey Knaley added another pair of goals to Simon Kenton’s total, while junior keeper Hunter Leanhart earned his fifth shutout of the season in goal.

HALFTIME: 2-0. GOALS: SK—Smith 2, Knaley 2, Selimovic, Bruening, Mairose. SHUTOUT: Leanhart (3 saves). RECORDS: Simon Kenton 6-6-1, Walton-Verona 6-5-1.

GRANT COUNTY 1, CONNER 0, PKs – Conner missed its first shot on goal in the shootout following regulation in the scoreless final of the Dry Ridge Toyota Invitational, then misfired on its fifth turn as Grant claimed the tournament title.

HALFTIME: 0-0. RECORDS: Conner 4-7-1, Grant County 7-2-1.

CONNER 7, VILLA MADONNA 1— Senior forward Landon Lamblez scored two goals to lead five Cougar scorers as Conner advanced to the final of the Dry Ridge Toyota Invitational.

HALFTIME: 5-0. GOALS: C—Lamblez 2, Frommeyer, Ryan, Aguilera, Rich, Yowler. RECORDS: Conner 4-6-1, Villa Madonna 0-8-0.

HIGHLANDS 4, ST. FRANCIS 1 — Highlands rebounded from Thursday's road loss to CovCath to win get its sixth win in its last seven games with a flurry of second-half goals.

HALFTIME: 1-1. GOALS: H—Garbig, Davis-Roberts, C. Dean, Breslin. RECORDS: Highlands 8-4-1, St. Francis 1-8-1. 

RYLE at BOONE COUNTY, postponed — Due to field conditions, the match was rescheduled for Tuesday at Ryle.
