St. Henry earned a three-game sweep but won all three of its games by five points or less as the Crusaders (18-7) edged Newport Central Catholic (8-9), 27-25, 25-20, 25-22 on Thursday.
Sophomore middle hitter Janelle Tobler led St. Henry in kills with seven, and junior setter Kendyll Kraus racked up 21 assists, six aces and five kills as the Crusaders won their 10th straight match.
VILLA TAKES DOWN CALVARY – Senior middle hitter Ellie Stoddart rolled up 16 kills as Villa Madonna (7-5) defeated Calvary Christian (4-12), 25-8, 25-11, 25-17.
Junior setter Charissa Junker dished for 16 assists, and senior outside hitter Morgan Trusty tallied five aces and five kills for Villa Madonna.
BROSSART SINKS HOLY CROSS – Three Brossart players finished with at least nine kills as the Mustangs (10-6) defeated Holy Cross (8-8), 25-20, 25-16, 25-15.
Senior outside hitter Marissa Frommeyer finished with 10 kills, and senior middle hitter Alex Hinkel and sophomore middle hitter Cassie Rinehard added nine kills each for Brossart.

Sophomore Sheldon Preisler won his eighth straight match to open the season as Boone County edged Lloyd, 3-2 on Wednesday.
Sophomore Erin Mogus remained perfect through five matches with her win at third singles as Cooper shut out Covington Latin.
