Mauer shoots a 37 for Colonels

   Junior Megan Mauer topped the field by one stroke to help Dixie Heights to a 185-194 win over Beechwood on Tuesday.

   Mauer shot a 37, sinking a birdie on hole 9 to complete her round.

   MEDALIST: Mauer (DH), 1-over 37 on the front nine at Kenton County Pioneer. OTHER GOOD SCORE: Gulla (DH) 38. RECORD: Dixie Heights 5-3.

   HOLY CROSS 171, SIMON KENTON 238 – Junior Emily Armbrecht earned medalist honors for the fourth time this year.

   Armbrecht fired a 37, including a birdie on the ninth hole.

   MEDALIST: Armbrecht (HC), 2-over 37 on the front nine at Kenton County Pioneer. OTHER GOOD SCORES: Gentile (HC) 42; Cross (HC) 44. RECORD: Holy Cross 7-1.

   BROSSART 201, HIGHLANDS 226 – Mustangs junior Taylor Burkhart medaled for the first time this season.

   Burkhart topped the field by five strokes.

   MEDALIST: Burkhart (B), 9-over 44 on the front nine at Highlands Country Club. RECORDS: Brossart 6-5, Highlands 5-5.
