Grant County topped Ryle in the first hole of a playoff to win the Beechwood Invitational at Flagg Springs on Thursday.
All five golfers played the sudden-death first hole, and the Braves shot 4-under, including an eagle by senior Cody Kellam.
Kellam was also the medalist, shooting a 4-under 67 and topping the field by five strokes. His teammate, sophomore Jacob Vrolijk, fired a 1-over 72.
Ryle finished second with its junior varsity team, as its varsity players competed in the Kentucky Cup in Lexington.

RYLE WINS KENTUCKY CUP – The Raiders won their semifinal and finals matches, going 9-1 in match play at the Big Blue Course at the University Club in Lexington.
The top four teams advanced to Thursday’s match play, as Ryle qualified by winning the medal play portion on Wednesday.
Seniors Logan Gamm, Jacob Poore, Austin Squires and Zach Adams all went 2-0 in match play as the Raiders beat McCracken County, 5-0 in the semifinal and Louisville St. Xavier, 4-1 in the championship.
Junior Austin Zapp picked up the win to complete the semifinal sweep.
It was the second time Ryle had qualified for match play in the five years they have participated in the tournament, and the Raiders’ first-ever title.
