8/4 GGLF: Grant wins conference tourney

Notre Dame second at Tiger Invitational

Grant County finished with the two lowest individual scores as the Braves won the Central Kentucky Conference Tournament by 32 strokes at Mount Sterling Country Club on Monday.

Grant County junior Sarah Boden and senior Macy Wright both shot 80s, and Boden earned medalist honors with a birdie on the first playoff hole, the par-5 fourth hole. It was Boden’s only birdie of the day.

SCOTT COUNTY TOPS LOCAL TEAMS AT TIGER INVITATIONAL – Mallory Lovel topped the field by one stroke with an 83 as Scott County won the Lady Tiger Invitational by 29 strokes at Fort Mitchell Country Club.

Dixie Heights’ Megan Mauer and Erin Durstock of Notre Dame tied for second by shooting 84s.

The Pandas finished in second place.
