   Walton-Verona (4-0) won both matches in its pool in the Ludlow Classic on Thursday, topping Holmes (0-2), 25-12, 25-16, and Dayton, 25-20, 25-18.

   Junior middle hitter Jessica Emmons recorded six kills in the Bearcats’ win over Holmes, and Emmons also had six kills vs. Dayton (1-1).

   Freshman middle hitter Angel Wilson added four kills in that win over the Greendevils.

   Dayton beat Holmes, 25-11, 25-12. Junior hitter Selicia Watts rolled up 10 digs, five blocks, four kills and four aces, senior setter Aubrey Donelan chipped in six kills, five aces, 12 assists, four blocks and eight digs, and freshman hitter Mallory Kubala tallied seven kills in the winning effort.

   COOPER BEATS BROSSART – Freshman middle hitter Kaity Smith and junior outside hitter Carly Powers notched 12 kills each as Cooper (1-1) defeated Brossart (1-1), 25-15, 25-7, 25-15.

   Junior setter Julia Klute dished for a career-high 31 assists for the Jaguars, and junior libero Jessica Fortner tallied 20 digs.

   Senior outside hitter Marissa Frommeyer paced the Mustangs with five kills.

   CAMPBELL DOWNS DIXIE – Junior outside hitter Kirby Seiter recorded 14 kills as Campbell County (1-1) defeated Dixie Heights (0-2), 21-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-21.

   Senior middle hitter Dixie Schultz and junior outside hitter Emily Rich added nine kills each, and junior defensive specialist Courtney Ruber tallied 11 digs in the Camels’ win.

   HIGHLANDS FALLS TO ANDERSON – Cincinnati Anderson (4-0) topped Highlands (0-2), 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-15.

   The Bluebirds were led by junior setter Kaitlin Hall’s 15 assists and two aces, and junior middle blocker Jessica Ginter’s five kills and five blocks.

   ST. HENRY TOPS VILLA – Sophomore middle hitter Janelle Tobler finished with six kills as St. Henry (2-1) defeated Villa Madonna (1-2), 25-17, 25-8.

   Junior setter Kendyll Kraus dished for 19 assists and served for four aces in the Crusaders’ win.

   NOTRE DAME TOPS BEECHWOOD – Senior setter Elly Ogle racked up 19 assists as Notre Dame (3-0) defeated Beechwood (1-1), 25-9, 19-25, 25-13.

   Junior middle hitter Abby Thelan led the Pandas in kills with eight.

   CARROLL TOO MUCH FOR LLOYD – Junior middle hitter Kelly Layton tallied 17 kills as Carroll County (1-0) defeated Lloyd (1-3), 25-23, 25-20, 24-26, 25-18.

   Junior right side hitter Stevie Ogburn finished with a serving percentage of 93 in the Panthers’ win.
