Senior left fielder Kelsey Michael singled down the right field line, scoring the go-ahead and eventual game-winning run in Notre Dame’s 4-2 win over Ryle on Wednesday.
Pandas senior shortstop Laura Finke added an insurance run in the seventh with an RBI double to right.
Notre Dame freshman catcher Kennedy Baugh caught two runners stealing and also applied the tag at the plate on a throw home to cut down a potential run.
Two of those outs were recorded on the bases in the bottom of the fifth as the Raiders were held to one run that tied the score at two. The Pandas seized the momentum and took the lead for good the next half inning.
