Freshman center fielder Ryley Grau’s 11th-inning, walk-off single lifted Boone County to a 3-2 win over Ryle on Monday.
Grau lined a base hit through the hole on the left side of the infield to plate the decisive run.
The score was tied at one after seven, and the Raiders took the lead in the top of the 10th. But the Rebels answered, as eighth-grade first baseman Olivia Jackson singled to right to tie it.
Jackson also drove in Boone County’s first run on an RBI double in the first.
