Juggernauts take second in event

Holy Cross won both of its games on Saturday to win the Bulldog Bash.

The Indians beat the Juggernauts, 8-3 and topped Holmes, 18-2. Lloyd took second, beating the host Bulldogs, 5-1.

HOLY CROSS 8, LLOYD 3 – Freshman catcher Aleah Tucker belted a key two-run triple to pace the Indians.

LLOYD 5, HOLMES 1 – Juggernauts junior second baseman Sam Vallandingham singled home a run in the sixth and another in the seventh for the Juggernauts.

Junior shortstop Jordan Gentry also added a triple during Lloyd’ four-run sixth.

Both, along with Rachel Crawford and Mya McCurdy, were named to the all-tournament team for the Juggernauts.
