Senior third baseman Ben Vermeil and junior center fielder Alex Veneman drove in two runs each as Highlands beat Lloyd, 7-4 on Thursday.
Vermeil doubled home one in the fourth and plated another with a single in the seventh, and Veneman knocked in two with a sixth-inning triple.
Bluebirds junior shortstop Jake Whitfield belted his first homer of the season to left field, extending Ludlow’s lead to two, 6-4 in the seventh inning.

LUDLOW 15, HOLY CROSS 10 – Junior right-hander Tyler Durham and senior third baseman Jerad Howard knocked in two runs each for the Panthers.
Durham singled home one in the first inning and belted a two-RBI single in the seventh. Howard was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the third, singled home one in the fourth and plated another with a seventh-inning double.

WALTON-VERONA 12, DAYTON 2 – Sophomore third baseman Garret Lehkamp knocked in four runs to pace the Bearcats.
Lehkamp singled in one in the first, knocked in another with a sixth-inning base hit in the sixth and helped seal the game with a two-run double in the seventh.
Sophomore center fielder Chance Sullivan and senior first baseman Christian Lohr added three RBI each for Walton-Verona.
Sullivan singled home one in the first and two in the seventh, and Lohr had a two-run single in the first and doubled home a run in the seventh.
