Junior catcher Brenton Hughes drove in three runs as Scott shut out Newport, 11-0 on Wednesday.
Hughes drove in two with a double to right center field in the third inning, and he singled home another in the fourth.
Seniors second baseman Nick Brinkman and right fielder Blake Gay added two RBI for the Eagles. Brinkman knocked in a pair with a double to right center in the third, and Gay smacked a two-run single in the same inning.
Senior right-hander Ian Adams picked up the win, throwing three innings, allowing just one hit while fanning five.
