Holbrook scores 19 for the Camels

Senior guard Corey Holbrook hit a pair of free throws in the final minute to ice Campbell County’s 49-44 win over Brossart in the 37th District final at Campbell County Middle School on Friday.

Holbrook, who was named most valuable player of the tournament, tied a game high with 19 points. Junior forward Deandre Jackson added 13 points for the Camels.

Both Jackson and sophomore center Matt Wilson were named to the all-tournament team.

Senior center Drew Burns finished with 19 points, and senior forward Alex Trentman chipped in 13 for Mustangs. They both earned all-tournament honors.

GRANT COUNTY 65, SIMON KENTON 64, OT – Senior guard Logan Cummins converted a four-point play for the Braves with under two minutes remaining in overtime.

Senior forward Morrison hit a 3-pointers late in regulation to put the Pioneers up by one, but junior guard Seth Adkins hit a layup with seven seconds left to put Grant County back on top.

Junior guard Noah Robinson was fouled with time running out in the fourth quarter, and he hit 1 of 2 free throws to force the extra session.

Mullins led all scorers with 23 points, and Morrison added 12. Both were named to the all-tournament team. Cummins earned most valuable player honors.
