Senior guard/forward Erik Rieger hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Brossart to a 63-62 win at Scott on Thursday.

The Eagles had extended the lead to two on a free throw with 4.2 seconds remaining.

Senior forward Alex Trentman scored 21 points in the first half and 29 overall in the Mustangs’ win, and finished 13-for-13 on the foul line.

Brossart senior guard Jacob Jennings totaled 12 points, and Rieger racked up 11.

Junior forward Blake Schneider rolled up 23 points to lead Scott.

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 73, CONNER 54 – Thoroughbreds junior guard Zach Pangallo scored nine of his game-best 19 points in the fourth quarter to help seal it.

Senior center Jake Schulte added 14 points – six in the opening period – and 11 rebounds as NewCath finished its regular season with its 19th straight win.

HOLMES 77, CLARK COUNTY 55 – Junior guard James Bolden hit five 3-pointers en route to posting a game-best 25 points in the Bulldogs’ win.

Senior forward Marcus Hill chipped in 14 points for Holmes, which went on an 18-0 run after falling behind, 30-24 in the second quarter.

GRANT COUNTY 58, LLOYD 52 – Freshman guard Lashunn Townsend led the Juggernauts’ comeback in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 points in that frame and hitting all four of his free throws.

Townsend tied a game high with 19 points, and junior forward Hayden Molitor talled 10 – hitting all eight of his foul shots.
