Simon Kenton won twice on Monday to advance to the championship game of the Allen County-Scottsville Classic.

The Pioneers beat Warren Central, 66-46 in the semifinal round. The championship will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Senior guard Abby Owings scored 11 points in the decisive third quarter as Simon Kenton extended its halftime lead from one to 13. She finished with a game-high 24 points and also dished for five assists.

Senior forward Rachel Cox added eight points and nine rebounds for the Pioneers.

SIMON KENTON 63, RED BOILING SPRINGS (Tenn.) 37 – Earlier in the day, Pioneers senior guard Abby Owings rolled up a game-high 16 points, including 13 in the first half.

Owings also racked up four rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Freshman center Madi Meier tallied 10 points and eight rebounds for Simon Kenton.
