Sophomore guard Ethan Snapp scored eight of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to help Newport jump out to an early nine-point lead in its 66-51 win over Lloyd on Thursday.

Wildcats junior guard Paul Price recorded a game high 17 points, 10 of which came in the second half.

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 68, MEMPHIS (Tenn.) MITCHELL 47 – Senior guard Tanner Moeves scored a game-high 19 points in the King of the Bluegrass tournament at Fairdale.

Moeves scored eight of his points in the fourth quarter to help seal the game.

Thoroughbreds junior forward Drew McDonald added 16 points, including nine in the third quarter.

SCOTT 89, SILVER GROVE 60 – Junior guard Blake Scheider led six Eagles in double figures with 19 points, including eight in the fourth quarter to help ice the game.

Sophomore guard Andrew Trame scored 12 of his 17 points in the first quarter to help Scott jump out to a 22-point lead after eight minutes.

Sophomore guard Randy Kuntz led the Big Trains with 14 points.
