Sophomore striker Mallory Valentine scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second half as Simon Kenton edged Campbell County, 2-1 on Monday.
Valentine took a pass from senior center midfielder Jasmine Cahill, beat a defender, took a step and buried a shot from 18 yards out.
The Camels led, 1-0 when sophomore outside midfielder Kendra Chambers evened the score off a direct kick from 20 yards out.
It was just the third loss of the season for Campbell County, which took the lead on a tally from senior midfielder Lauren Macke.

SCOTT 2, HARRISON COUNTY 1 – Eagles senior forward Hannah Dixon netted the winning goal with 4:02 remaining.
Dixon drilled a free kick past the goalkeeper after the Thorobreds were whistled for pushing.
Harrison County drew first blood in the first half, but junior forward Shea Stivers tied it with 24:59 remaining in regulation.
Dixon and Stivers are Scott’s co-captains.

HIGHLANDS 5, DIXIE HEIGHTS 1 – Sophomore forward Brooklynn Rivers helped the Bluebirds jump out a 2-0 lead by recording both of Highlands’ first-half goals.
Freshman midfielder Kiersten Clukey added a goal and assist, and junior forward Taylor Vaughn picked up a pair of helpers for the Bluebirds.

NOTRE DAME 8, COOPER 0 – Junior striker Samantha Woods scored the last two goals for the Pandas 90 seconds apart.
Woods had just one goal this season entering Monday.
Sophomore striker Taylor Watts opened the scoring for Notre Dame 15 minutes, recording a marker in her first game back after being sidelined the past two weeks with an injury.
The Pandas finished their regular season by extending their unbeaten streak to eight matches (7-0-1).

CONNER 8, COVINGTON LATIN 0 – Senior Gabby Saalfeld logged 70 scoreless minutes in net, recorded a goal and an assist to pace the Cougars.
Saalfed scored Conner’s last goal with three minutes remaining.
Sophomore midfielder Amber Alig netted her first goal of the season in the Cougars’ win, making it 7-0 with 10 minutes to play.

BEECHWOOD 6, CALVARY CHRISTIAN 0 – Senior forward McKenzie Fessler triggered the Tigers’ five-goal outburst in the first half, scoring five minutes into the match.
Freshman midfielder Madison Williams led Beechwood in style points with an outstanding shot from 18 yards out that found the net.
Tigers senior goalkeeper Cara Schwartz turned four shots aside to earn her seventh shutout of the season.
HALFTIME: 5-0. GOALS: B—Fessler, Huff, Pawsat, Keller, Williams, Griggs. SHUTOUT: Schwartz (4 saves). RECORDS: Beechwood 9-7-3, Calvary Christian 1-14-1.
CINCINNATI MERCY 2, ST. HENRY 1 – Junior midfielder Hannah Bohmer tied the score for the Crusaders midway through the first half, but the Bobcats scored the decisive goal before halftime.
HALFTIME: 2-1. GOALS: M—Cummings, Thompson. SH—Bohmer. RECORDS: Mercy 8-4-2, St. Henry 4-8-3.
HOLY CROSS VS. LUDLOW, postponed – The heavy rain over the weekend rendered Ludlow’s home field unplayable. Make-up time and date are TBD.

Senior right-hander Rachel Carroll tossed a one-hitter as Campbell County blanked Lloyd.
Sophomore Nathan Eberhard battled to a first-singles win as Conner shut out Campbell County, in an NKAC semifinal.
Junior center fielder Blaise Ostertag doubled in two in the bottom of the fourth to lift Conner to a win over Scott.
Freshman center fielder Hailey Nicholas singled up the middle with no outs in the bottom of the eighth to lift Cooper to a win over Campbell County.
Sophomore Sheldon Preisler won his eighth straight match to open the season as Boone County edged Lloyd, 3-2 on Wednesday.
Sophomore Erin Mogus remained perfect through five matches with her win at third singles as Cooper shut out Covington Latin.
