Junior outside hitter Kirby Seiter rolled up 22 kills and 10 digs as Campbell County (18-14) defeated Brossart (18-14), 25-14, 26-24, 25-18 in a District 37 semifinal on Tuesday.
Seiter finished with a hitting percentage of .656.
Junior outside hitter Emily Rich racked up 15 kills, and junior setter Carson Gray dished for 46 assists for the Camels, who hit .479 as a team.
Campbell County will face Scott in the district final at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
SCOTT CLOBBERS CALVARY – Sophomore outside hitter Jessica Tapp piled up 10 kills as Scott (25-11) defeated Calvary Christian (8-18), 25-2, 25-14, 25-18 in a District 37 semifinal.
Junior setter Jenna Trimpe and eighth-grade outside hitter Kelly Franxman added six aces each for the Eagles. Trimpe also dished for 20 assists.
Scott will play Campbell County in the district final at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
RYLE SINKS CONNER – Senior middle blocker Alexa Nichols tallied nine kills as Ryle (32-4) defeated Conner (10-17), 25-13, 25-13, 25-10 in a District 33 semifinal.
Senior outside hitter/setter Harper Hempel rolled up six kills and 17 assists, and freshman Hayley Bush also had six kills for the Raiders.
Ryle will play Cooper in the district final at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
COOPER BEATS BOONE – Junior outside hitter Carly Powers notched 11 kills as Cooper (25-6) defeated Boone County (15-14), 25-17, 25-9, 25-22 in a District 33 semifinal.
Freshman middle hitter Katie Smith posted nine kills and five blocks, and freshman Rebecca Ruppel chipped in with four kills and 18 digs for the Jaguars, who will face Ryle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the district final.
Senior outside hitter Stephanie Lambert led the Rebels with nine kills and six blocks.
HIGHLANDS DOWNS DAYTON – Junior middle blocker Jessica Ginter finished with 12 kills as Highlands (13-21) defeated Dayton (12-12), 25-12, 25-16, 25-16 in a District 36 semifinal.
The Bluebirds were also led by senior libero Abby Schweitzer (11 digs), junior setter Kaitlin Hall (36 assists) and senior outside hitter Mallory Seidel (5 aces). They will play Newport Central Catholic at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
NEWCATH ELIMINATES BELLEVUE – Senior setter Alyssa Maier dished for 30 assists as Newport Central Catholic (13-14) beat Bellevue (8-19), 25-13, 25-6, 25-16 in a District 36 semifinal.
Freshman outside hitter Rachel McDonald added 10 kills, and junior middle hitter Keyaira Lankheit and senior middle hitter Nikki Kiernan chipped in nine kills each for the Thoroughbreds.
Sophomore defensive specialist Alex Kehoe served for seven aces for NewCath, which will play Highlands at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the district final.
LUDLOW GETS PAST LLOYD – Senior setter McKenzie Huffman recorded 24 assists, four kills and four aces as Ludlow (22-9) defeated Lloyd (x-x), 23-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-18 in a District 34 quarterfinal.
Senior middle hitter Alexis Crowley finished with 10 kills and four aces for the Panthers, who will play St. Henry in a district semifinal at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Junior left-hander Jalen Neace threw his first career no-hitter as Holmes blanked Newport.
Newport Central Catholic scored twice in the top of the fifth inning and held on to edge Dixie Heights.
