Senior middle hitter Ellie Stoddart rolled up 25 kills as Villa Madonna (17-7) defeated Walton-Verona (19-16), 25-20, 20-25, 25-16 on Wednesday.
Junior setter Charissa Junker dished for 22 assists, and senior libero Braidyn D’Alessandri added seven digs in the Blue Lightning win.
ST. HENRY NEEDS 5 GAMES TO BEAT N. OLDHAM – Junior setter Kendyll Kraus racked up 31 assists as St. Henry (23-10) defeated North Oldham (17-8), 25-22, 24-26, 25-23, 18-25, 15-13.
Senior defensive specialist Karlee Schreiber tallied 22 digs and five aces, and freshman outside hitter Paige Noble led the Crusaders in kills with 13.
RYLE ROLLS PAST NEWCATH – Junior outside hitter/setter Ashley Bush tallied 11 kills and 10 assists as Ryle (30-3) defeated Newport Central Catholic (14-16), 25-14, 25-9, 25-23.
Senior middle blocker Alexa Nichols also reached double-digits in kills, finished with 10, and freshman setter Hayley Bush chipped in with 16 assists.
SCOTT SINKS LUDLOW – Sophomore outside hitter Jessica Tapp recorded five kills and seven digs as Scott (24-11) defeated Ludlow (20-9), 25-19, 25-8.
Junior setter Jenna Trimpe dished for 14 assists as the Eagles won their ninth straight match.
CAMPBELL TOPS PENDLETON – Senior middle hitter Dixie Schultz led the Camels in kills with eight as Campbell County (17-14) defeated Pendleton County (5-23), 25-7, 25-6.
Senior outside hitter Taylor Kennedy added six kills and senior right side hitter Kaelyn Webb chipped in two for the Camels.

Sophomore Erin Mogus remained perfect through five matches with her win at third singles as Cooper shut out Covington Latin.
Eighth-grader Curtis Kalbaugh improved to 7-0 on the season with a win at second singles as Ryle shut out St. Henry.
Conner coach Brad Arlinghaus set the school record for coaching wins as his Cougars beat Ryle.
Junior designated hitter Chelcey Broughton singled home two to put Simon Kenton ahead for good in a win over Grant County.
