Crusaders take down Dunbar in five games

St. Henry needed five games, but it handed Lexington Dunbar (15-10) a loss, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 25-11 on Tuesday.

Freshman outside hitter Paige Noble led the Crusaders (20-8) with 14 kills and five blocks.

Junior middle hitter Karly Lehmkuhl added 11 kills for St. Henry.

RYLE BEATS COOPER – Freshman outside hitter Hayley Bush recorded 13 kills as Ryle (24-3) defeated Cooper (20-5), 25-15, 21-25, 25-20.

Senior middle blocker Alexa Nichols finished with 11 kills for Ryle.

SIMON KENTON DOWNS GRANT – Senior outside hitter Kaitlin Murray tallied 11 kills as Simon Kenton (21-6) defeated Grant County (11-15), 25-10, 25-12, 25-11.

Senior setter Sophie Dunn dished for 30 assists in the Pioneers’ win.

CAMPBELL SINKS CONNER – Junior outside hitter Kirby Seiter finished with nine kills and 15 digs as Campbell County (16-10) defeated Conner (6-14), 25-23, 25-18.

Junior outside hitter Emily Rush added five kills, and sophomore defensive specialist Danielle Orick served for three aces to pace the Camels.
