CINCINNATI – Withrow High School football players again raised their right fists in protest during the national anthem before their game Friday night.
Last week it was just four players, but many more joined in at Anderson High School, though it did not appear to be unanimous.
Several players told WCPO on Thursday that they would continue to protest the shootings of unarmed black men by police.
A tweet from the Withrow Athletics Twitter account expressed support for the players.

The Anderson football Twitter account said the two teams displayed "awesome sportsmanship" during and after the game.

The protest has been spreading on football fields across the country since San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick sat during the anthem before a preseason game last month.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association says the players aren't breaking any rules by protesting during the anthem and it won't penalize them.
Anderson defeated Withrow 49-20.
