Ohio high school football playoffs: Summit Country Day knocks out unbeaten Cincinnati Country Day

CINCINNATI - Summit Country Day avenged a Week 8 loss and knocked unbeaten Cincinnati Country Day out of the Ohio high school football playoffs with a resounding 55-28 victory in Division VI Friday night.

No. 7 seed Summit, a 35-27 loser to No 2. seed CCD in the regular season, moves on to play No. 6 West Liberty Salem next week.

Five other local teams won Friday: Loveland, Northwest, Mount Healthy, Winton Woods and Clinton-Massie.

McNicholas and Urbana play Saturday in Division IV. Divisions I, V and VII also play Saturday.
