Franklin County 38, Greensburg 33

After two tough losses, Franklin County (4-2, 1-1) got back into the win column after coming from behind to beat Greensburg (3-3, 1-0). Quarterback Blake Ripperger scored the game winning touchdown on a sneak with a minute left in the contest. Teammate Cole McCreary carried the ball 41 times for 171 yards and two touchdowns for the victors. The Wildcats have a chance to grab some momentum heading into the playoffs with a schedule that is conducive to picking up some wins down the stretch. Greensburg has an opportunity to take command of the EIAC 3A divisional win next Friday with a win over Batesville.

East Central 79, South Dearborn 0

It was all East Central (5-1, 2-0) as they smoked South Dearborn, 79-0 Friday night. The Trojans have beaten the Knights 19 straight times. South Dearborn’s last win over East Central was back in 1997. Over the last 10 years the teams have played 11 times and South Dearborn has scored a grand total of 26 points and been shutout on seven occasions. They have never had more than seven points versus East Central in a contest during that span. The Trojans have averaged 41 points in those contests.

Batesville 29, Lawrenceburg 14

After a sloppy start, Batesville (5-0, 2-0) reeled off 29 unanswered points to take down Lawrenceburg (2-4, 0-2). Quarterback Leo Enneking sandwiched a pair of touchdown passes between scoring runs by Zach Mears as the Bulldogs pulled out a solid road win. Batesville is in control of its Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference destiny. With a win next week at Greensburg, Batesville will win the EIAC 3A title.
